MMU in collaboration with Microsoft®
will be setting up an academy to enable students to be trained for
Microsoft certification. The objective of these courses is to enable
students to pursue skill based professional qualifications in tandem with
their academic qualifications in the university. We hope that students
will be able to apply the training to complement their academic and
theoretical background in IT.
The training will enable students to
be Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP) followed by specialization in
either MCSA, MCDBA, or MCAD. After either MCSA, MCAD, or MCDBA, students
can attempt to complete the MCSE or MCSD curriculum by going through a few
more courses (Please refer to your trainer for more details of the
complete Microsoft Certified Certification). Students are generally
expected to study for a period of 2 years after selecting a particular
course (MCSA, MCDBA, or MCAD) on an after-class basis.
For those who would like to take only
certain MCP paper(s), they may still apply but priority will be given to
those who apply for full track courses, namely MCSA, MCAD and MCDBA.
The program runs concurrently with
regular MMU trimesters. The class timings are to suit the students'
regular undergraduate class schedule.
This program is open to all MMU students.
